Christiania, you have my heart

Well it's been a mixed week with many nice random fun times and also some sad times. What makes me sad is just not understanding how people can be negative and nasty. I never thought of myself like a hippie before but maybe this is why I feel so much more at home in Christiania than anywhere else. I wonder why people can't be happy and treat people how they would like to be treated. Isn't every moment that you spend thinking negatively about other people and dwelling on things a waste of time? Get over it, move on, make up, be friends and enjoy every moment you have and every person that you share this world with.

This is what I love about Christiania, I feel more comfortable in amongst the hippies, weirdos, drunks, youths, stoners, rustas, students, pushers, tourists, skaters and every other types of humanity you see in Christiania than out in the 'real world' because no one judges you there, no one sticks out, everyone can get along. It doesn't matter how old you are, what you wear, where you are from, how much money you have or don't have etc.. I wish everybody could experience it, the best people watching place, full of random moments, like a festival everyday. Wednesday was a pretty sad day but with great sunny weather so as soon as I finished work I was on my bike into town and not sad for much longer. After a quick stop at Nat's work to see if she would be heading into Christiania after she finished I went in to do some shopping as I had been meaning to get Si & Kay's birthday presents for a long time. It's no secret I love randomness so was very happy to bump into Phi & Phong's friend Christian who was also coming in to hang out and wait for Phong. We got a table in the sun at Nemoland and were soon joined by some other people Christian knew. One guy sitting with us turned out to be an American whom was starting his new job at the place I work on Friday. So I was able to tell him some gossip before he started. We went to go see Nat who was chilling in Wonderland.

Then we moved the party to Sct Hans square and met up with Phong. This is another great place to hang out as many people gather there to sit around and hang out with friends with a few beers. I had to leave the party there cause it was a week night but was a very pleasant evening.

Then it was Friday and time to say goodbye to Marta :(
It was a very busy Friday bar and was nice to see all the lovely presents that we had all put in for, including a Nintendo Wii. After a few at the work bar it was time to head home and get changed and then meet up in town. Wow I have never seen so many different Saxo people all out together. Usually there are different groups hanging out but last night everyone was in the same bar and it was fantastic fun. Okay enough blogging I'm going to put some photos on my web album..
