why can't i be in 3 places at once..?

Last week was STRØM week. STRØM is Copenhagen's electronic festival and it has been so great to see the city put's together these fantastic festivals with lots of free events. On Wednesday I went to the art museum to see what I thought would be djs with visual effects. It was very dissapointing as it turned out to be these guys making noise that sounded like loud static with nothing to look at. So I cycled over to meet Nat at wonderland and check out how the makeover was going.

Once again I was pretty tired when it came to Friday. A combination of working too hard and staying up watching this great TV series James recommended Carnivale. I just finished downloading season 1 and after the first episode I was hooked. I love the way they have made it look nice & creepy like the old school freak circus =) Of course I still went to Friday bar and then was going to come home and watch a movie but got motivated by everybody else talking of going out. Alex had called and was at outdoor party at Enghaveparken but after dragging myself out everyone decided not go out after all. Spent a nice evening chilling with Lena though.

Saturday I was definately going to the outdoor
STRØM party and stopped off at the block party at Nansensgaden. I just love the way Copenites all get together and have these huge parties. People drag all the tables and chairs out of their apartments and set them up on the streets, bars & restaurants set up shop out on the sidewalk and there is live music and djs everywhere.

But I was off to meet with Nat and watched a nice little skate session at Wonderland.

Then we headed to the STRØM party. There was some really funky music and a nice park to have a party but it was very dark so not good for people watching.

These guys were loving it..

We were then back to the block party as everyone knows the best thing about a party is the people watching. Nat has this thing about biking through the city though so it was a lot of biking round the long way around..

Sunday Iwas pretty tired after all the parties. I would have liked to have gone to the beachparty at Amar Strandpark for the end of the festival but was nice to meet with Kirsten and catch up on the goss. There was also a fair happening at faelleparken with a nice band and a lot of fait trade goods. We had some tea and chocolate and watched all the people heading to the stadium to watch the football. We had to leave when the crowd started singing and chanting in that weird footy fan way.

Well I better go, I'm eating Danish lamb and drinking Japanese beer, how mulitcultural am I! =)
