back to cph..

Well I suppose the blog is gonna get boring now with not so many pretty pics.

On my last day in Auckland I got all packed up and managed to squeeze in almost everything into my bags. Then it was off to Dad's with James. We managed to get him away from work and drove to the viaduct. It was a cloudy windy day but was nice to look around at all the yachts and have a beer at Danny Doolin's. The seafood market was also much worth a look, yum! Then we headed to Takapuna and to the Belgium Beer Cafe for an early dinner. I got to run down to T bar to say a quick goodbye to Amy and all too soon it was time to pick up Mum and head to the airport.

Bye Amy =(

It was looking very good when I boarded the plane and it was very empty. I had 3 seats to myself and was able to stretch out and slept most of the way. But then after they had served us breakfast and about an hour from LA we hit bad turbulence and half the plane did not manage to keep their breakfast down. It was the first time I remember feeling sick on a plane but concentrated and was soon safely landed at LA. It was the normal procedure of going through customs, fingerprinted and photo taken.. again. (What is with these crazy Americans? Bit over the top I think). And then to the transit lounge to wait a little before getting back on the plane. We got the turbulence again leaving LA but apart from having to wait a looong time at Heathrow airport was otherwise uneventful flight back.

I was very tired when we landed in CPH at 5pm. Nat was waiting to give me my key then it was onto the metro before taking a taxi home. The taxi driver was very impressed that I could carry so much stuff =) Since arriving back I have not done much. Unpacked, set up new furniture and slept a lot. Had a nice night out on Friday meeting some school friends for some drinks at Moose before it was back to school today.

We got given our first workshop and semester briefing and it looks like it will be good (mind you that's what we thought on second semester!). Everyone is very much looking forward to having new teachers though. It will make a world of difference. After school it was of to work and I guess it was as unpleasant as you can expect after not working for 6 weeks. Was very nice to see everyone though.

The weather here is very bad. I'm wondering weather I should bite my tongue though as I suspect it could be a lot worse. It is very cold and windy as hell which makes biking very hard. I guess I should be happy it is not raining or snowing as well. So although I was feeling happy to be back this feeling is fast being swept away by the bitter Copenhagen wind. Blah..
