After a massive weekend a quiet week was in order and it was full of more work, work, school, school.. But we did decide one day we should get out of the classroom and Borgar and I travelled by bus to the
Carlsberg visitor centre and had an interesting time reading about the history of beer brewing in Denmark and the Carlsberg and Turborg breweries. At the end we got to the bar and got to smell the different scents that they have in their beers and then choose 2 of their beers. I first had a Carlsberg white beer that was more flavorsome than most white beers and then I had a
Jacobsen Blonde that smelt amazing and was very nice. Borgar’s Jacobsen Brown Ale beer smelt like caramel and coffee and was also very yummy. I couldn’t help comparing it to the Heineken experience in Amsterdam which was far more entertaining but the Danish beer was far superior to Heineken. Then we took the bus and metro out to Field’s shopping centre. We had an interesting time shopping in the adult store to use my birthday voucher from work?? And did a bit more shopping and by the time I got home I was pretty damn tired.. shopping is exhausting!
Carlsberg Visitor Centre.
This room holds the most bottle of beers in one room in the world!
We were pretty happy to get to the bar..
Mmmmm beer.
Friday Sune and I had a meeting with the
Bellevue Theater to see if we could work on our project with them. It is out by
Dyrehaven in Klampenborg and is a beautiful area on the coast north of Copenhagen. The building is designed by the famous Danish architect
Arne Jacobsen and is quite old fashioned so we have a lot to work with for the redesign of their website drawing on the beautiful surroundings and the history of the building. After the meeting we headed back to school for a few beers at Friday bar. It was a pretty boring Friday bar and I headed home for a bit before getting dressed up all 80’s and heading over to Karina’s. There her, Louise, Maart and Phong and me all got more eightified and walked to Anca and Mark’s for their 80’s housewarming party. It was a fun night of tacky music, drinking, dancing and playing football in the hall with balloons.

Friday nights are 80's nights =)Saturday was nice and relaxing until it was time to get glammed up and bike into town to meet with Mark and some others at
Barbarella. I had never been there before but heard a lot about it so was nice to meet and have some dinner there with Mark, Charles and Chris (NZer, Pom and Aussie). Then Morten, Maart, Pirita and some others joined us for drinks and soon it was time to head over to the Rock for the Pirate Party. It was International Talk Like a Pirate Day and the last pirate party at The Rock was so much fun I decided I should check it out again. There were people dressed up but not as much as the last party but it was a fun night and was getting light by the time I biked home!
