it's been awhile..

Hmm I shouldn’t leave it this long.. now I need to remember what I’ve done the last couple of weeks. I do remember the quiz night.. mostly because we won!! I met at the Cross with Mark and Barbara and Kat was there with a friend Martin so we made a nice team of 5. It was pretty obvious early on that we had a good thing going and were getting better each round. The anagram questions were hilarious and we spent a long time trying to work out what Oscar award winners name could be made out of the words Inner Boob Tiger. We won the bottle of vodka but Mark and Barbara left not long after and Kat, Martin and I did a very good job finishing it off before I jumped in a taxi home around 3am.

Thank goodness for 12pm starts on a Friday! But I avoided the Friday bar and went home for a quiet night. It had snowed a lot during the week and Saturday Maart, Morten, Ana and I met at Fælledparken with the idea to build a snowman. What we didn’t realize was that the snow was so powdery there was no way it was going to hold together. We had fun playing in the park though until we were very cold and headed to Jensen’s Bøfhus for some steaks. Then it was back to my house so I could get changed and some drinks before heading to Valhalla. It was quite quiet there but we had fun playing dice games. Martin turned up with his super powered energy and when Maart tried to leave some girls wouldn’t let him =) Martin and I then headed to the Cross to meet with Kat and we all headed back to M’s for more beer and ‘I have never..’ until the early hours.

Snow angle, further on there is someone cross country skiing through the park and yes people still bike with all the snow..

I'm standing on the frozen lake =)

The Pavilion in Faelledparken, unfortunately not open in the winter, we could have used hot coffees!

The next week was no quiz week but Valhalla had organized a rock karaoke night and some of us met there to potentially greatly embarrass ourselves. As normal with karaoke once people start they don’t wanna stop and even Morten was up singing. It was lucky my new camera had arrived and was a very fun and another late Thursday night. Friday I met with the guys at the Friday bar before they were taking Morten away for his mystery birthday weekend. Turns out they took him to Budapest. They kept that secret well. Then I went with Lena to her place before heading into the city. We were supposed to meet with some Saxo girls at Hornsleuth bar but it was over crowded and horrid so instead we went to Kant bar and met with Martin (Malle), Louise and Gitte. Lena went home and soon after I had had enough and after walking to Nørreport jumped on a bus to school for the Intro party. I met Lucas outside and he said no one was there so I happy when I saw Mia, Karina and Anders. Martin was at home having a quiet night but was attracted by the idea of student bar prices and soon joined us. The bar was packed and even though not many people I knew was there it was nice to see another great party going on, probably helped by the amount of shots Anders kept lining up on the bar!

Who hangs out their washing in a snow storm??

Saturday then I wanted a quiet night despite Karina and Phong texting me wanting me to come out. I would have loved to catch up with them but thought I would give my liver a break and had a nice chat to Dad before going to sleep. Then in the morning I rang to talk to Mum and James and had a productive Sunday working on my project. I had a meeting with Barbara on Monday for my project and it’s a bit scary with so little time to finish it. I am so so happy to have her as my coach again! Thursday night was time for quiz again and our same winning group met up again at the Cross. It looked like we were doing very well again but a team that used to come a lot but hadn’t been since xmas turned up and they were very good. We came in a close 2nd though and enjoyed our second prize of 8 beers. Maybe a little too much :P

Friday I stayed for some beers at the Friday bar again and then home for an early night. Saturday I was up and off on the train to Malmo. It was very cold when I met Albert and we walked to TGI Fridays where Veronica, Maria and Michael were already there. It was a good thing I had hardly anything to eat and I ordered a plate of Jack Daniels ribs with shrimps. Before that came I had a yummy cocktail called a banana split that tasted just like milkshake. Halfway through my lunch I was struggling but was very impressed with myself when I finished it all. The large lynchburg lemonade I washed it down with was also delicious. After lunch I did a bit of shopping and surprised myself with buying a pair of ski boots at the sports shop. They heat molded them to my feet and feel very comfortable. No more uncomfortable rental boots for me =D After I got home Morten came over and we downed some beers and headed to the Rock for the Fastelavns party. Maart was already there, Kat turned up not much later and Ana and Joanna joined us after their movie. We drank many beers, especially at happy hour when they were 10 kr, and enjoyed seeing all the costumes people were wearing. My personal favourites were Amy Winehouse and Christian dressed as a very stunning blonde bombshell!
