3 years!!

I was very glad to get home early on Monday and have time to relax and do laundry etc. I walked with Martin to the metro and he headed off back to Sheffield. Then I waited for Martin (toooo many Martins!!) to finish work and he picked me up and we biked to Nyhavn for a Jazz Festival concert. We had picked up some pasta salad and wine from Magasin and it was really nice until my eye started feeling like it had grit in it. It got much worse so we biked to the afterhours doctor and he told me I had an eye infection. This on top of my blocked up sinuses and cough made me feel not very good L My eye looked even worse in the morning and I tried to get out of work but we were only 2 on the late shift so I went in for a couple of hours later on.

It started getting much better after using the antibiotics for a few days and thanks to lots of sleep ins and quiet nights by the weekend I was feeling good. Saturday morning I woke up early to go watch the rugby and Maria joined me at the Cross for the first Tri Nations match. It was a great game and the All Blacks showed they really are playing well now. The sun was shining and we had another beer after the game with the bar owner outside in the sun before heading to the Boat Bar in Nyhavn. We were soon joined there by Ana and Morten and then others arrived later and it was a lovely afternoon spent in the sun. Soon we were all getting hungry though and got some Indian takeout and had dinner at my apartment. We then sat out on the balcony listening to music and I got told off by a neighbor at some point for being too loud. A few people whom stayed late played tekkan before heading home and me going to sleep.

Enjoying the sun with Pirita and Ashraf.

Sunday was very quiet and I relaxed and slowly cleaned up the apartment. Martin arrived back from Jutland later very sunburnt. Monday and Tuesday were very quiet (just how I like it!) then Wednesday after work I went shopping and bought myself a little grill. Martin put it together for me and we went food shopping then met with Borgar and Phong at Islands Brugge. It was a really nice evening grilling and having a few beers near the water.

Yah, my new grill =)

Friday was Paulo’s last day at work =( So I joined him and others at the Friday bar. We had drinks in the sun on the balcony before a colleague Eduardo kindly invited everyone back to his place. His neighbours had cute floppy eared bunnies and we ate pizza and drank beers. Martin also joined and then some of us headed into town to Bar 7. It was far too hot in the bar and the drinks were really strong. So Saturday I was not feeling too hot. Especially in the morning when I got up early again to watch the rugby. It was not as good a game as the week before but still a good result for the All Blacks. We then headed over to Martin’s friends where he was to kitty sit for the weekend. We had a really relaxing afternoon/evening cooking on the grill and lounging on the couch. Sunday I headed home to do laundry etc while Martin played hockey and then we headed back to Amagar and I finally went to see the beach. It was really quite nice as the temperature had cooled a little and there were not many people. We walked from the start all the way up the peach and boardwalk to the end. Then it was back to the apartment for another grill and relaxing night.

Around the corner..
